Hi, my name is Michelle. I've always had an appreciation for art of all forms. Mostly, though, I love music and photography. When I was young, I played the flute in the school band. Recently, I've been into creating music with my bass guitar. My husband plays guitar, and little by little he's been teaching me how to play bass. It's a lot of fun for me to learn something new, especially now that we can both make beautiful music together!

Along with music, photography is a special love of mine and when I have the chance to I love to take pictures of nature and the California coastline. I also love to experiment with digitizing my photos and sometimes I use Photoshop to enhance them. The pictures in the digital gallery of my artwork are all photos where I've used Photoshop to make them more interesting. Also, I recently bought a digital camera, Nikon CoolPix 8700, an 8 mega pixel wonder! It has the most clarity I've ever seen in a digital camera and does great even using the automatic settings. With this camera, it's easier for me to add more pictures to my web site, so as I get more familiar with it, I'll be taking a lot more pictures.

When I'm not busy taking pictures or playing music, you can find me reading the latest Anne Rice book, playing online computer games, or watching movies. Poetry is also a long lost love of mine. I haven't actually written any in a long time, so the poetry you'll be reading on this site was written about ten years ago.

Some background on my education: I'm a graduate of Foothill College in Los Altos, California where I took home an AS degree in Internet Technology, focusing on Web Design. While I'm not actively using this degree, all that I've learned at Foothill has helped to mold my abilities as an artist. I am currently working for the family business, which is an electrical distributing company. I do design and maintain their web site, but mostly I maintain the pricing of the products they carry in their computer database. I hope someday to be able to work from home designing publications for people and perhaps even promoting my skills as an artist.

My philosophy is very simple. Enjoy and appreciate life and the earth around us. Always cherish the time spent with the people you love and care about.
